Mike Wardop was imagining that his dog was suffering from a whole host of illnesses when he saw Libby the German Shepherd coughing up blood.
However, little could have prepared him for the news from vets that they had found 28 golf balls in Libby's stomach.
Fortunately, for Libby the vets managed to remove all 28 balls in a 2-hour operation.
Wardop, who lives and works at Didsbury Golf Course in Manchester, said, 'It's no wonder she wasn't feeling well.'

A dog that ate 28 golf balls has had them safely removed by vets.
